Black Tie Lounge

As you can tell if you know my history that I've done it a few times. I'm finding my flow and i'm told you get better as you continue. I'm definitely not as experienced as the majority of people in my field. I'm referring to blogging. I'm new at blogging Yeah I did that on purpose. But anyway I'm in the process of creating a blog list. I'll figure that out. I'm kind of on a slow computer right now and so I really can't follow the youtube tutorial. As a matter of fact i'm listening to my boy Marlon sing Mariah Carey in the next room as I try to concentrate. I realized that my flight to Nassau is on the July 5 and not the 7th. It's good that I'll be in Nassau longer than I expected. It sucks because a friend of mine had been talking about her birthday and I had hoped to get some people together for her. Since she flys in from ATL on the 6th I expected to get something going later that day. I'll make up for it later. Ahh i

I'll be in Nassau Bahamas in two weeks. I'm excited!!! Then again I'm not sure what to expect. I need to move out of my apartment soon to save the headache of dealing with it while I'm away. I haven't met with my advisor much but that can be taken care of. Back to the Bahamas, too many places to go so little time. Then there is Ft. Lauderdale. Too many places to go with so little time. This is going to be so awesome. This is the summer that will take my breath away. I've been praying that so much and now I'm definitely going to see things I have never seen before. I need to get an itinerary. I gave blood today and my blood would not flow. What a waste of time. Good news. I don't think I have met anyone that does not like my hair. Let me say that another way. I get a lot of compliments. People, generally females really like it. White females, not that I have jungle fever, of course black females, Asians. Oh, I think they like me. I still need to call Kim

I'm getting used to this blog thing. To a degree I have to watch what I say. I looked over my latest blog and I do want to clarify something, if it happens to be misinterpreted for whatever reason. I know that now you can google your name and anything attached to it will come up. So let me please clarify something just so that I don't put anyone's name out there. (I should have been smarter and not have used real names to protect them, but I'm all about being real and I will answer to whomever for whatever and stand with my integrity) Kim & Ericka if you ever happen to read this, my last blog was only meant to express the event that took place not to put your names out there and have anyone think negatively of you. I'm so greatful to the Lagrant Foundation and any student from an underrepresented group that is studying marketing, PR, or advertising, I encourage you to look into the opportunities that are available. I'm sitting in a hotel room, actually the Hitlon NYC off of Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan. I believe that I have a great deal of explaining to do. For once I'm going to actually sit through and explain all that has been going on. In March I received a call from foundation, that I had been selected to receive a $10,000 scholarship!! He said that they would fly me out to NYC for the awards ceremony and a professional development seminar. Well all of those things just happened a couple of hours ago. I'm sitting in my hotel room reflecting on all that has happened today. It is amazing to have had this opportunity and more opportunities to come. I just came from the lobby. A little under a half hour ago I met with the president. So I met with him because he had some things to share with me about my internship overseas.
