Turning Tables

I really think this should be her next single. Maybe it already is. I'm awake for no reason. It always happens about this hour when I should just go to bed. For some reason I stay up checking e-mail, facebook, or Blackboard. So I'm up on the brink of just crashing but I got the urge to blog. I haven't blogged in months. I just gave a quick recap of what is ahead for me and my business partners. Hmm. Lately, I find myself pushing everyone else's agenda except my own. I'm a part of some really big things and some great projects, but I'm getting ancy. Wondering when my turn is. My fortune cookie said that all the answers I need are right in front of me. I don't regard fortune cookies like that but what's funny is that I must have put the message in my pocket because it fell out while I was in church the other day. I'm listening to the sermon and I hear that very same message. That has nothing to do with turning tables but prayerfully the table w...

Adjustment Bureau

Dear Blacktie Lounge, Oh how I miss you. It seems to happen like clock work. I go through periods where I have absolutely nothing going on. Then I hit a season where I have to be in 3 places at once. Good news, the semester is halfway through. I successfully completed my first 8 week course. Now I have picked up 3 more in addition to the full semester course I currently have. I'm one week in and whoa buddy it's pretty crazy. It's been some late nights and early mornings. Well not exactly early mornings because I haven't been able to even wake up. It's been an adjustment none the less. Last week was my spring break and I took a nice little trip up to Boston. I spent most of my time lounging around my friend's place being a fat lazy some-of-a-you-know. Two particular things happened while I was there: we went to Foxwoods casino and we also saw The Adjustment Bureau. About the movie; one thing I hate is going to see a movie just because. The movie you want ...

#10 Is A No Show

I made it through the model call. I got picked by the designers. I even got picked for a show in the future but for tonight's DC Fashion Week Menswear Show I am a no show. I definitely didn't want things to pan out this way and I could have taken more responsibility to prevent it but time and inconvenience caught up with me. A bad tire, a pressure unit gone bad, and bad planning left me hanging. Next time I'll make sure to take note of the warning signs, seeing as how not being attentive has caused me to miss a great moment. Oh well. I'm over it now. What's next.
